SELF-STORAGE FACILITIES FOR LMS
From 2017, APK has established cooperation with the owner of the LESS-MESS brand, LMS Developments, which is currently developing in Poland a network of several dozen “Self-Storage” facilities, i.e. offering individual customers, both individuals and small businesses, high-standard warehouse space with commercial and office services. Some of them on the ground level are accessible directly from the outside of the building (garage boxes). LMS facilities are open 24/7, monitored and guarded. Access to all floors is ensured by cargo and passenger elevators. The stairwells are intended primarily for evacuation. LMS buildings provide a high level of security and stable climate conditions for the storage of goods. Despite this, they are indeed environmentally friendly, as they have been designed for a minimum demand for energy from non-renewable sources, in accordance with the latest trends. LMS facility installation systems use extensively both solar energy and geothermal heat.
Less-Mess Gdańsk-Kowale
The second LMS facility designed by APK is located at Energetyczna Street in Kowale. The investor chose the location because of its excellent visibility from the Tricity Bypass (on this section of DK S7), just before the exit to Otomin. The building has four overground storeys on the S7 side, and the opposite side only three, it was submersed into a slope. The height of the building was limited by a high-voltage power line running directly above the building. It was developedat the turn of 2018 and 2019 and put into service in 2019. The structural design by Prokons Design Studio of Construction Structures in Kraków, and Riktning Group for the M&E. The General Contractor was a Warsaw company AGMET SA.
