T-REX PROJECT – THE THIRD STAGE OF THE EXPANSION OF THE FACTORY IN JANKOWICE

The last stage of factory development, consisting in the addition of the second High Bay Storage (42 meters high) and a new logistic module with an area of approx. 5000 m2. The Imperial Tobacco production plant in Jankowice near Tarnowo Podgórne was built in 1996-1998. The Pentagram Architects in cooperation with late Mr. Frank Steen, a German architect, were responsible for its design. All stages were built in Construction Management mode. Paweł Kobylański was involved in the design works from day one until today, as well as in coordinating activities within the tender and during construction. The Factory od Cigarettes initially covered an area of about 40,000 m2, now, after a triple expansion, it exceeds 70,000 m2 and is considered one of the flagship facilities of the Imperial Brands corporation in the world.
