The APK is an architectural practice capable of handling all kinds of building projects from concept stage through design development and detailed working drawings towards as-built documentation. APT can also do urban planning schemes and last but not least, interior design. The portfolio of the APK includes projects of various industrial, public and residential facilities in Poland and abroad. The philosophy of the practice is transparency and careful, reliable performance of any tasks entrusted to it. APK operates in accordance with the Codes of Ethics for the Architect’s Profession and the catalog of good practices applied in the European Union. The APK company has been operating continuously since 2012.
Biographical note:
Paweł Kobylański the architect is a graduate (1981) of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Poznań University of Technology. In addition, he completed a postgraduate “Community Development” Study at the State University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA (1991) and an intense course in “Resolution of Claims and Disputes” in accordance with FIDIC standards, by Hawksmere, London, UK, (1996). He acquired unlimited design license in Architecture, as well as limited design/construction license in structural engineering. He is a registered architect at Wielkopolska Regional Chamber of Architects under the number WP-0096.
In the years 1988-2012 he was the CEO of Pentagram Architects Ltd, and the vice president of international companies:
- International Development Consultants (“joint-venture” with Jacobson-Widmark, Scandinavian Consulting Group);
- CASIO-PENTA (with Casiopea Group K.F.T. registered in Hungary).
He taught “Propedeutics of Investment Processes” and Architectural Design at the Faculty of Architecture of the Poznań University of Technology, held lectures in Urban Planning for students of the Postgraduate Studies at the Polish Academy of Sciences and on the Architect’s Code of Ethics for candidates for licensed IARP architects.
He has published a number of articles on architecture and the practice of the architect’s profession in the magazines: “Architektura”, “ARCH”, “Zawód:Architekt” and “LaVie Magazine”.
- In 1987-1990 he was elected President of the Poznań Branch of the Association of Polish Architects (SARP);
- In the years 2002-2008 he was the vice-chairman of the Poznań Council of the Chamber of Architects;
- In the years 2008-2010 he was elected Vice President of the Polish Chamber of Architects for International Affairs.
- In the years 2010 – 2012 he was a member of the Executive Board of the Architects’ Council of Europe (ACE/CAE) in Brussels, responsible for the coordination of the Thematic Area: “Practice of the Profession”.
- In the years 2012 – 2019 he was (for two terms) the vice-president of SARP for International Affairs.
