The Phoenix Contact is a manufacturer of industrial connectors, surge protection and automation devices for the power supply industry, telecommunications, automotive, chemical and fuel industries. The company was founded in Germany in 1923 and currently has about 50 branches around the world. Phoenix Contact Wielkopolska has been operating since 1994. In its plant in Nowy Tomyśl of a total area of 45,000 m2, it currently employs approx. 2,400 people in a three-shift system.
The APK task was to develop replacement Building Permit projects and detailed documentation for the extension of the factory by two buildings of a total area of approx. 16,000 m2: An automated High Storage Warehouse (SERVUS System) with an area of approx. 5000 m2 and a height of approx. 20 m, Production building with a two-story office part with an area of approx. 11,000 m2. The concept was developed by a German office Brandstetter Architekten GbR from Bad Pyrmont-Löwensen. APK cooperated with two structural engineering offices, ie. Enterpol from Poznań and SlimSteel from Białystok, as well as with Wojtyś-Wójtowicz Architekci and Biuro Projektowo-Consultingowe Rafał Tratwal.
